Cancer sucks.  Cancer the second time sucks a lot worse.  What’s a girl to do?

She throws parties, glams like a movie star, treats the kids to endless fun, and suffers through the horror with life-affirming verve and snarky indignance at the nasty disease.

The Detection:

• Tinkerhell’s Breast Cancer Returns : The start of our long journey.  We’re shocked at the return of the same cancer five years after.

 The Chemotherapy:

• Week 3 – How Heidi Montag will cure Trish’s Cancer  The chemotherapy begins and she gets Rock n Roll heels to wear.

• Week 4 – Mr. Rock Star, sign my boob!  It has cancer. Trish begins the rock star boob-ographs at a Cheap Trick concert.

• Week 5 – Hair Loss and Hair Bands at Cancerpalooza  A huge surprise party in NYC, she gets a mohawk and agrees to marry me.

• Week 6 – The Importance of Grilled Cheese and Help From Unexpected Place  The kids begin to suffer, and the second round of Chemotherapy is harsh

• Week 7 – Big hair and Big emotions: the stress gets to us.  The stress drives me crazy, literally.

• Week 8 – Making Cancer a Family Adventure  More tests, school let’s out, and we do some high-brow stuff

• Week 9 – Why the Leading Breast Cancer for Husbands Book is Wrong. (And this post has boobs!) The MMO ‘Warhammer Online’ names an in-game character after Trisha

• Week 10 – Cancer is sentenced to death by Rock ‘n Roll:  Backstage with Mike Patton and Faith no More and roller-coasters

• Week 11 – The Costs of Cancerpallooza  Cancer strains our family. Cancerpalooza strains our checkbook.

• Week 12 – The fourth chemotherapy treatment is good for Trish, hard on me. :  I struggle with depression and anxiety.

• Week 13 – Does butter help kill cancer?  :  A buttercream ‘Fuck You Cancer cake’ and we check if the insurance will give her more than two reconstructed boobs.

• Week  14 – The Creekmores take New York City by land, air and sea Real family adventure travel in NYC
  

• A party Week 15 -The Egg-Man and Wormholes: Are we loosing our minds?  Massive support arrives from friends and a facebook flash mob

• Week 16 – Blood, Buttercream, and Boobies: Ingredients of a Cancer-Killing Extravaganza:  We throw a massive surprise party for Trisha, host a boob contest and make her do a mock lumpectomy on cancer-infected tits.

• Week 17 – Killing Cancer with Ozzy Osbourne’s Autograph:  The Prince of Darkness aids Trish in her fight.

•  Week 18 – Cancer sics evil Hannah Montana on us but Trish is saved by Prince Poppycock  Tips on helping cancer patients with chemotherapy

The Surgery

• Week 19 – Goldilocks and the Titty Docs: A tough reconstruction decision:  We begin to think about surgery and reconstruction, and it’s not as simple as we thought.

• Week 20 – Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right, here I am….  Surgery dates are messed up.  Lady Gaga and Cirque du Soleil compete for biggest spectacle.
  

• Week 21 – The End of Cancerpalooza: Slash, death and diamonds.:   A long drive to see Slash, and our children struggle with the imminent surgery.

• Week 22 – Taking out a contract on her tit, and the big 101st surprise!   The Chemo leaves Trish too weak for surgery.

• Week 23-25 – Special TRIPLE issue! With more boobies! And the Mid-Atlantic sucks!  Cancerpalooza overtime.  Camping and more dance
  

• Week 24 – ‘By any detectable means…’ the Final Battle.  She finally does the surgery, the boobs are gone.  Trish is cancer free.

The Reconstruction:

• Week 25-34 – A Post-Cancer World (1 of 2):  Life isn’t normal, but we pretend it is with another massive party – a battle between St. Nick and St. Patrick.

• Week 35-42 – A Post-Cancer World (2 of 2)  Our first travel, up the northern coast of California, and the Snow-pocalypse

• Cancerpalooza Eplilogue:  It took two bouts with cancer to show me what love really is.
